Grades of Native Corn Starch
Food Grade
Corn starch is most commonly used in Food as a texture enhancer because of its thickening properties. Corn Starch takes a relatively short time to form a viscous and opaque paste, which has a typical cereal flavour and is widely used for thickening sauces, gravies, puddings and pie fillings. Corn starch finds numerous uses in the baking industry where bakers use corn starch to improve texture and tenderness of cakes. Corn starch is used in providing strength to ice cream and ice cream cones as well as used in other desserts and salad dressing

Low Moisture Starch
Low-moisture starches are native starches that are dehydrated to a moisture content of max. 6.0%. It is used as a moisture-controlling agent in dry mixes and it also helps in reducing adhesion in sticky applications. Low-moisture maize starch works best as a thickener, emulsifier and gelling agent in variety of applications of food processing, bakery and confectionery

Industrial Grade
Industrial or Technical grade Corn starch serves various purposes in textile, paper and pharmaceutical industries.
Textile - One of the most common use of corn starch in textile industry is to soften fabric, enhance quality and provide fabric with required stiffness. It can also be used to add weight to fabrics. Maize Starch Powder is environmentally friendly and completely biodegradable, which makes it as a preferred choice for textile applications.
Paper - It works as a best adhesive which enhances paper strength, improves appearance and forms a smooth surface suitable for writing or printing. One of the unique advantage of Maize starch in paper industry is that it is a non-toxic and biodegradable in nature and serves as an environment friendly and renewable agricultural resource.
Due to its versatile use in Paper industry, maize starch also expands its applications in industries like packaging boxes and recycled paper as pigmented coatings for paper and paperboards.
Pharmaceutical - It is used as filler and diluents in pills and capsules to ensure that balanced dosage and uniformity is achieved. IP grade Maize starch powder are used in the dry granulation technique. Maize Starch Powder is an essential ingredient that works as a tablet binder and disintegrating agent in dispersible tablets, facilitating their dissolution upon administration.
